-- NEWS
you can also probably find this track on Deathlance Records:
deathlancerecords.bandcamp.com (as Alta Caeli by Trenchwraith)

-- DESCRIPTION
another test by giving a different 80s jpop song the same treatment as Crepusculaurora.
altho 1 difference this time - it's a mix of 3 layers: dry, reverb, double reverb (with varying volumes)
overall, this ain't as good (though you can be the judge of that), but it's quite pleasant sounding still.

At the end of the day, listen to the version you find the most pleasing.

SAMPLE: Miho Nakayama - You're My Only Shinin' Star (album version)
(you would almost NEVER think this was the sample)

-- DESCRIPTIVE RAMBLE ABOUT TRACK
overall, the thing with Crep was that I was trying to extract a certain sound I heard and liked from the OG song, then just went "f it" and applied the same treatment to the whole song and that was the result. this song in particular was more a forced attempt on a song which I thought had a nice, consistent, sounding background, but was not a sound I cared nearly as much about. despite that, it still sounds quite cool.

hell, the feeling of it feels like a perfect contrast to Crep anyway. this feels more air-y and "in the sky," which is like the stark opposite to that underwater muffled nature of the other.
the album art tries to reflect the track (and man this was the annoying part actually, and part of why I came to kinda hate this thing in the end) through several ways:
- sky being a theme in the background, giving that airiness to it
- colour scheme is now sky-related with orange and yellows. this also contrasts with the blue of water.
- really huge feeling scale through a large structure and a tiny person "traversing" across it.

will definitely be doing more sound tests like this, but I'm not gonna force myself towards making a RELEASE this time. i'll be posting on this bandcamp more as a sort of bin of ideas and less as a sexy showcase of sounds. (that's what Trenchwraith is for - actually being listenable material)
